- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections; each win rolls over to the next selection.
- Arbitrage
- Betting on all possible outcomes of an event across different sportsbooks to guarantee a profit.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that lets you combine multiple markets from a single match into one wager.
- Bonus
- Extra funds added to your account, often tied to wagering requirements.
- Cash Out
- The option to settle a bet early for a reduced payout before the event ends.
- Free Bet
- A promotional bet credited to your account that you can use without using your own money.
- Handicap
- A point advantage or disadvantage given to a team to level the odds.
- Hedge
- Placing a bet on the opposite side of an existing bet to reduce risk or lock in profit.
- Juice
- The commission the sportsbook charges on a bet; also called 'vig'.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula that calculates the optimal size of a bet based on your edge.
- Line Movement
- Change in the point spread, total, or odds over time.
- Live Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is ongoing.
- Odds
- The likelihood a specific outcome will happen, expressed as numbers; also determines how much you can win.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals, points, or stats will be higher or lower than a line.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links two or more picks; all must win for the bet to pay.
- Public Money
- Large bets placed by recreational bettors that can move the line.
- RTP
- Return to Player; the percentage of total bets a game returns to players over time.
- Spread
- A range set by the sportsbook for a specific statistic; you bet on whether the result will be above or below that range.
- Stake
- The amount of money you put on a bet.
- Stake Back
- A promotion where the sportsbook refunds your stake if a certain condition is met.
- Steam
- A rapid shift in odds caused by heavy betting activity.
- Volatility
- A measure of how risky a game is; high volatility means bigger but less frequent wins.
- Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus before you can withdraw any winnings.
